" For me, jewelry is a way of keeping Memories alive."

Violet & Blue is a handcrafted jewelry collection created and curated by designer Jen Guzman — a proud New Yorker with a lifelong love for creativity, storytelling, and sparkle.

Each piece is thoughtfully made using fine-quality components sourced from around the world. From one-of-a-kind designs to limited-edition small batches and effortless everyday wear, Violet & Blue offers jewelry that’s as versatile as it is meaningful. Every piece carries a little magic and a whole lot of L♥VE.

Jen’s journey began in Westchester County, NY, where she grew up making jewelry alongside her mom, Joan—a passionate hobbyist who passed down her skills, her eye for detail, and her love of gemstones. Some of their favorite memories were made scouring the aisles of the International Gem & Mineral Show, inspired by the colors, textures, and energy of the stones they’d find. For them, the search was just as special as the creation.

Though Jen spent many years designing pieces for loved ones, her path eventually led her into the corporate world in 1996. The fast-paced demands of the tech industry left little room for her creative pursuits, and she gradually stepped away from jewelry-making. Joan, however, never stopped creating.

In 2007—two years after Joan’s unexpected passing—Jen found her mother’s wooden trunk filled with old tools, beads, and stones. It was a powerful moment. That very day, she made a necklace in Joan’s honor… and she hasn’t stopped since.

Violet & Blue is a tribute to the magic of memory, the beauty of self-expression, and the enduring bond between a mother and daughter.
In 2009, Jen began selling her handmade jewelry on Etsy as a creative side hustle—an outlet to share her designs and explore the market. With years of experience spending time and working in New York City, she leaned into her network and soon found herself designing custom pieces for local rock bands and even a few celebrities. It was during this time that she reconnected with her true calling.

In 2010, Jen officially launched her own jewelry brand, naming it Violet & Blue after a beloved song by her muse and eternal inspiration, Stevie Nicks. Her work draws heavily from the natural world and the spirit of music, blending earthy elements with a touch of rock ’n’ roll soul.

Though forever a city girl at heart, Jen now creates each piece from her cozy home studio in the Catskill Mountains, where she lives with her husband and their three cats. It’s here, surrounded by trees, tunes, and creativity, that Violet & Blue continues to bloom.
Giving Back

When I started Violet & Blue, I made a personal commitment to give back to the communities and causes that have shaped and inspired me. Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to support many incredible organizations, but there are four charities that hold a special place in my heart. These are the ones we’re especially proud to stand beside.
