Violet & Blue is a collection of handcrafted jewelry created and curated by designer and proud New Yorker, Jen Guzman.

Her collection consists of one of a kind pieces, limited edition small batches and every day jewelry for versatile wear. In addition to fine quality components from around the world, every piece of Violet & Blue jewelry is also made with a little magic and a lot of L♥VE.
Jen grew up in Westchester County, New York and began making jewelry at a young age with her mother, Joan, who designed jewelry as a hobby and taught her daughter everything she knew. They bonded over beads, stones and crystals and always looked forward to attending the International Gem & Mineral Show together every year. Searching for components was just as fun as putting them together! Jen designed jewelry on and off for many years, often making pieces for friends and family members.
In 1996 she landed a job at one of the largest computer technology companies and her introduction into the corporate world led her to a fast paced life which didn't leave her much free time for designing. Although she loved creating, Jen eventually gave it up altogether even though her mother never did. In 2007, two years after Joan's untimely passing, Jen discovered her mom's wooden trunk of jewelry supplies and instantly realized how much she missed those bonding moments. She made a necklace that day in honor of her mom and hasn't stopped designing since.

In 2009, Jen began selling her handmade jewelry on Etsy.com to make some extra money and test the market with her designs. Having worked and spent a lot of time in New York City, Jen put her networking skills to good use and started designing jewelry for local rock bands and celebrities. It was then that her real passion was discovered. The following year, she started her own small jewelry business which she named Violet & Blue, after a song by her favorite singer-songwriter and muse, Stevie Nicks. Jen's love of nature and music are her main inspirations when designing her one of a kind pieces. Although she'll always be a city girl at heart, she currently works out of her home studio, in the beautiful Catskill Mountains, where she lives with her husband and their three cats.

When I began Violet & Blue, I made a promise that I would give back to the communities and causes that I believe in. While we continue to make contributions to a wide range of wonderful organizations, Violet & Blue is proudly dedicated to four charities that are near and dear to my heart.
